Bishops Finger

The Bishop's Finger was situated at 145 Sheen Road, and closed in 2006. A Shepherd's Neame pub, it was named after one of the best known beers. The pub dates from at least 1868 when it was known as The Belvedere Arms. Owned between 1892-1903 by Lascelles Tickner of Guildford. By 1930s it had been acquired by Hodgsons of Kingston, who were taken over by Courage in 1943. In 1973 the name was shortened to The Belvedere before changing to Patrick Caseys in the early 1980s. It was bought be Shepherd Neame
around 1996, renamed The Bishops Finger and finally closed in 2006 and converted to residential use.
