Red Lion

The Red Lion was situated at 6 Wood Street. This pub was originally built in 1850 and then rebuilt in 1905 as shown in the above photo. It was acquired in 1929 by Bentalls and demolished in 1930/31 to make way for Bentall's Wood Street facade. Mr Henry Nathan March was listed as the beer retailer in 1930.
