The Kings Arms
was situated at 5-6 High Street. |
|
From September 2002 until being bought
by the pub's current owners, this grade-II listed
building was a Loch Fyne restaurant. Before that, closing down in March
2002, was a Mediterranean restaurant called 'The Olive Grove'.
It was the Olive Grove from the early 1990's, and was occasionally mentioned
in the newspaper: https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/restaurants-having-fun-with-fungi-1177398.html.
Before that it was a
French restaurant called 'La Bonne Franquette'. It is now awaiting
conversion back to a public house. |
