The Station Hotel was situated at 1 Guildford Street, near the station. Closed c1990, it is now used as offices.

In 1983 - 84 we were worked on site around the Surrey area fitting laboratory extraction systens. We found the cheapest digs in Surrey at the Station. The landlord was called Norman and Bob Todd was a regular resident. That man could drink well into the early hours and would be stood at the bar at 6,30 am drinking whisky when we were having our breakfast,
