The Woodcock was situated on Churt Road. This
pub closed in 2010.
A developer has bought the site from Fullers Brewery and are
trying to get a change of use to build flats. At this time there is a
vociferous village group trying to oppose this. They made representations
at a recent planning meeting and got the decision postponed. The planning
committee are sitting again on 20th December 2011 to decide its fate. |
