The Cricketers was situated at 142 Kings Road and has now been demolished. This pub was a bit seedy; they did get raided in the mid 1970's when the landlord tried topless barmaids one time.

in 1964 “The Elpico 6“ pop band would rehearse in the rooms at the back of this pub on Thursday nights Other bands would use the rooms for rehearsals on different nights.
