The Quarterhouse was situated on Compton Road.
This pub has now been demolished. |
|
When I was a little girl my father,
Alan Phipps, owned the Quarter House. There was a painting of the original
pub hanging in the bar and when my father sold his houses to Banks he kept
the picture which I inherited and it is now in my lounge near Brighton. The
publican raised gold and silver pheasants which as a small child I found
fascinating. |
