The Longacres was situated at 158
Dilloways Lane. |

I used to visit this pub in the late 1950s with
my parents. My grandparents, and other family members lived nearby. It was
considered a 'modern' pub, and had a Children's Room at the back where my
sister and I, and some of our cousins, were left with a bottle of pop and a
bag of 'Nibbits' each, while the adults got on with their drinking and
socialising. |
