The Wagon & Horses was situated on
Gentle Street. This pub was present by 1822 when Charles Vincent was the
publican. It closed in the 1960s.
The building dates from the 17th century and is
grade-II listed. |

Former Waggon and Horses Inn. C17
rubble. 3 storeys. 2 gables. Later 3 light casements to upper windows, C18
sashes to lower windows. A modem window to left of door. Above is a small
stair-light with wood surround and lintel. Doorway with flat wooden hood on
brackets, moulded lintel and ogee stop moulded surround; studded door with
modern glass panel let in. Stone tile roof. |
