The Albion Inn was situated at 16 Cheap
Street. This pub wasz present by 1861 when the publican was Albert Butcher.
The building dates from the 18th century and is
grade-II listed. |

C18, fabric probably older. Former
Albion Inn. Later alterations. Rubble. Modern pantiles to slightly mansard
roof, 2 gabled dormers. 2 storeys, 3 windows, C19 sashes in flush frames.
c1890 shop front to left, and late C19 canted bay. 2 storey outhouse
cottage to rear. Late C17/early C18 rubble with pantile roof, 2 stone
chimneys; 3 bays modern openings. In gable end is a 2 light ogee stone
mullion window with drip. |
