One very satisfied customer indeed on my first visit,
drinking the finest and most memorable single pint in 51 years'
experience of drinking cask beer, on a sunny 1980 Sunday at c13.45 hrs.
- hand pulled Wem Best Bitter, the only beer the landlord needed to
sustain his reputation and livelihood. Tragic to put it mildly that
Greenall Whitley saw fit to close the brewery in the Spring of 1988.
Brewing and keeping beer that well is a dying art. |
