The Winchelsea Arms was situated on the Great North Road.
Later known as The Ram Jam Inn this establishment was frequented by
highwayman Dick Turpin in the 1700s. American soul singer Geno
Washington named his backing band (the Ram Jam Band) after the
establishment. This pub closed in 2013 and was demolished in 2015. |
