Swindlestock Tavern

The Swindlestock Tavern was situated on Carfax. Opened in 1250, this was the scene of an altercation which led to the St Scholastica Day riot on February 10, 1355 - one of the most notorious 'Town versus Gown' incidents. Now the site of a branch of the Santander Bank.
