Roebuck Inn

The Roebuck Inn was situated at 8-10 Cornmarket Street.  This pub closed in 1924 with most of the building demolished the following year with the facade of the first and second floors left intact. The building is grade-II listed with the ground floor used for retail.
 

Listed building details:
C18. Timber-framed and plastered. 3 storeys and attic, Modern shop fronts to the ground floor. Above the front is divided into bays by pilasters, the windows being arranged 1-3-2-3-1, all sashes with glazing bars, the central pair appear only on the lst floor, the groups of three have pedimented heads on the central windows, also only on the lst floor. Parapet. Slate mansard roof with 1-2-1-2-1 dormers.
