The Britannia

|
The Britannia was situated at 40 Church
Street. This beerhouse was present by 1811 when it was called The First Of
May and the publican was Thomas Stevens. It was renamed The Britannia in
1868 and closed in 1883. It has now been demolished; the site lies
underneath the Westgate Centre. |
