The Brentford Taylor was situated on
Station Road. This pub is now divided into two
residences. It was previously known as The Railway. |

Sadly don't have any photographs anymore, but would love to see some if
someone else has any.
I can remember bringing my children here way back now [they are now 36 and
34] to this pub, with my friends and their children. They enjoyed playing
on all the bikes and outside activities, with the gates always kept closed
because all parents were there with their little ones and you knew that your
children would not wander off. They were safe playing away, whilst supping
your favourite tipple, maybe a glass of wine, or pint of beer for the Dads.
They would make us laugh, cos they were so happy, and all the bikes and
see-saws etc were all chained down, so they would not fall over on top of
kiddies. Yes I have fond memories of those days, only wished I had photos.
Too many good pubs are closing, so its difficult sometimes to find the right
one. I have grand kiddies now and they like to go to the park and if only
could find a pub like this, it would be so good.
Will print off this photo for my distant memories and show my children. |

I worked here, starting as the
cleaner in the mornings, which then graduated to working behind the bar
every Friday afternoon when the Landlady and her husband went to the
Licensed Victuallers lunch each week. Her name was Peggy and she wore
bizarre earrings! |
