The Wheatsheaf was situated on Bridge
Street. The publicans during WWII were a Mr and Mrs Loose. Their son
William Loose was a Spitfire pilot who was shot down over Holland and he has
a memorial plaque in the right hand side of the aisle within St Annes church
in Worksop. |
