Unless I'm mistaken, my mum (Ida Mary Ward) was behind
the bar at this pub; the landlady's name was Dorothy (?) who had an
ailment so that he head was always facing her shoulder - but a very
likeable woman. No drinker, and resident in Scotland at the time, I only
went there a couple of times. Small, cosy atmosphere. There was a little
backyard with a (much-used) loo there. |
