The Fox & Grapes was situated on Southwell Road.
This pub was known as Peggers at time of closure. |
|
The pub had a short period of notoriety
in the late 60s early 70s when the Landlord was stabbed to death while out
walking his dog early in the morning . Police were amazed that there were no
witnesses as it faces the main bus depot and buses were in and out all the
while at that time of morning. |
