The Barley Mow was situated on Retford Road. This was a grade-II listed pub.

Listed building details:
Public House. Late C18. Rendered and painted. Hipped concrete pantile roof with single red brick stack to the left gable. 2 1/2 storeys, 3 bays, set on a plinth. Central doorway with C20 door, overlight and moulded architrave, having a pediment supported on brackets. Flanked by single sashes with 2 similar sashes above and 2 similar, smaller sashes on the top floor. To the right is a 2 storey rendered and painted extension, with pantiles and concrete pantiles, single red brick ridge stack and dentillated eaves. There are 4 casements on the ground floor, that on the left being larger. On the 1st floor is a single casement.
