The Narrow Boat was situated at 346 Ladbroke
Grove.
This was a very small Fullers pub next to the canal
bridge, and I recall there was a very steep staircase down to the toilets.
It was a regular in the Good Beer Guide until 1989, it closed around then
and has since been demolished and replaced by a block of flats.
Previously known as The Queen Victoria until 1977 when Fullers took over the
pub. This pub was present by the 1890s. |

The cellar was below the water
level of the Grand Union Canal. Probably why it served the best pint of
London Pride you could get. It was a loverly little pub. Often seen in
episodes of Minder. |
