The Mortlake hotel was run by my maternal grand-parents Walter W.A.J. Durham and Clara Elizabeth nee Gardner, c1910-1920.   My mother was born there in 1914.   Her mother, Clara, married following the death of Walter, the manager of the Jolly Milkman opposite a Richard Davis Foster in 1918.
