Manor Arms

The Manor Arms was situated on Hardens Manorway. Originally a beerhouse established in the mid-19C. Very close to the Thames, it was licensed as a public house c1880. In 1914 it was purchased by Beasley’s Brewery, Plumstead and Rebuilt 1925. Closed in 1969 following loss of much local industry which provided its custom. Demolished 1970. The site is very close to the Thames Barrier.
