The Frog & Nightgown was situated at 148-150 Old
Kent Road. This pub was named after a fictional pub in the BBC radio show
"Ray's a laugh". The star Ted Ray opened the new premises. A frog was a peg
fastener on old nightgowns. It was demolished in 2013. |

I started drinking there in 1987
when I moved to Peckham .it had a good crowd every night as there was
live music nightly Saturday nights was jam packed .you had to go early
to get a seat .sunday lunch time was also busy with live music .the last
time I went there was about 1995 or 1996 on sunday lunch time but only
about a dozen people there now its just memories |
