The Fellmongers Arms was situated at 25
Crimscott Street. This pub was known as The Willows for much of the 1980s.
It was the site of the unsolved murder of doorman Frank Moody and has now been demolished. |

I worked there in the 1970s I think - worked as a barmaid
there. Neville Axford was the owner, wife Margaret, potman nicknamed
Smiley I think. DJ Tony Shepherd - brilliant! Clients nameshard to
recall - gentleman called Alan but nicknamed Albert who had a brother
Steve. |

The old football team and friends
from the Fellmongers are still around and are in regular contact with
each other. We still meet up on a fairly regular basis. Many of the old
faces have now moved to the suburbs and beyond. We all have many happy
memories from our time in the Fells. |
