The Paxton Arms Hotel was situated at 52 Anerley
Hill. This pub was badly damaged by a V1 flying bomb in 1944. It was closed
until 1955 by which time it had been extensively rebuilt. It closed as a pub
in 2013 and is now the Paxton Centre, a community centre with a licenced
cafe-bar attached. |
