Walpole Arms

Picture source: National Brewery Heritage Trust

The Walpole Arms was situated at 84 Brookhill Road. This pub was built in 1857, replacing the demolished Fountain Arms on the same site. It has now been converted to flats. It was named after a Colonel Walpole, not Robert Walpole.
