Ada Clow 1970s/1980s This pub had a good darts team and lots of people from the bus garage used to go there for a drink.
Joan English 1950s My parents were the landlords of this pub in the mid 50's my Dad, William Wright and Mum, Audrey Wright. I remember having a street party right up Walmer St. for the Coronation in 1956.We lived above the premises and on Saturday nights there was always a sing-a-long in the bar. Upstairs there was a 'club room' for various meetings and then we lived above that.
