The Little Wonder was situated at 322
Ilderton Road. The pub was built in 1869
at no. 9 in what was then Canterbury Row. It became Canterbury Road in 1877
and then in 1938 it became part of Ilderton Road and renumbered. The pub
closed c.1959 and demolished leaving a gap in the row of houses. The
remaining buildings were demolished c.1965 for the building of the Tustin
Estate. The location of the pub now would be between the car park entrance
(form. Wagner Street) and the vehicle entrance to Heaversham House. |
