The Horns was situated at 214 Kennington Park
Road and was closed and demolished in the 1960s. This historic tavern
(Surrey CCC was formed here in 1845) occupied a prominent position at the
junction with Kennington Road. Rebuilt in grand fashion in 1887, complete
with a massive assembly room and masonic temple, it was severely damaged by
a VI flying bomb in August 1994 |
