The Roman Way was situated at 308 Kilburn High Road and is now used as a restaurant. This pub was originally called The Lord Palmerston. It closed c2003 and is now used as a branch of Nandos.
In the 2001 novel The Hard Shoulder, written by Chris Petit, O’Grady, the book’s protagonist, decides against visiting the pub shortly after being released from prison: 'He had favoured the Black Lion after being barred from the Roman Way for brawling'
