The Winchester Arms was situated at 21 Winchester Road and closed in 1969 as the area was due for immediate redevelopment (which did not happen until c2010). Known previously as The Winchester Hotel, a grand 4-storey corner pub. It has been used as a youth centre since 1973, known as the Winchester Project.
