The Mitre was situated at 129-130 Upper Street. Latterly known as 'Its A Scream'.

My Dad Drank in the Mitre for about 30 years up until he retired in 1984, he visited after as well. His name was Harry Preedy. He went there almost Every day when he worked in the sorting office in Studd St. I even have their old phone number somewhere. I remember the landlady was called Sheila. I revisited Upper St a few years back and it has changed so much since we were kids and used to go there all the time
