The Tipperary was situated at 66 Fleet
Street, and originally called The Boars Head. The name was
changed to the Tipperary during the 1960s. Grade
II-listed and on Camra's Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors, it closed in
December 2020 due to falling trade. |

Some concern was caused recently by the
appearance of some legal notices fixed to the property. These were served by
bailiffs acting for the owners in an attempt to remove some squatters who
had moved into the upper floors. They did not relate to the future of the
pub as such. The City of London’s Planning Enforcement team have visited,
along with the City of London police, and are monitoring the situation. The
famous mirrors are still there and undamaged. It is unlikely that demolition
of the pub will be permitted but, in the current climate, there must be a
question as to whether it reopens as a pub |
