The Red Lion was situated at Red Lion Court. Publican in the 1930s/1940s was William Lewis. Wally Hesman was the landlord from the mid 1950s until 1974. The pub was a haunt of many journalists from Fleet Street. Above the main bar was one of the first Chinese restaurants in the City Of London.
