The Prince Albert was situated at 11 Coopers Row.
My grandfather, Henry Brockman, was publican here in 1914. This pub was
destroyed in a WWII air raid on 10th May 1941. |

My Grandfather, Albert Victor Elliott,
was the licensee of The Prince Albert when the Pub was bombed. I remember
Nana and Grandad talking about it. Nana stated “ the bombing was quite heavy
that night and I managed to persuade Bert that we should go to the shelter,
just as well we did !! " |
