Duke Of Fife

The Duke Of Fife was situated at 350 Katherine Road. Part of this pub is now used as a nightclub. The courtyard garden contains a Listed Tree and small WW1 war memorial plaque to Anglo Romanian partnership dedicated by East Ham MP, Rt Hon Sir Stephen Timms, and Col Bocca of the Romanian defence forces.

Now converted to a Paddy Power betting shop.

Betty Williams 1950-1953 My husband used to play the piano there, and I would sing and then take the hat round, strangely enough I got more in the hat than he got playing all night. He is long gone but I'm still around age 91.
