The Mercers Arms was situated at 34 Belgrave Street. This was a Charrington’s Brewery pub.  Present by 1881, it closed in 2006.  A grade-II listed building which has now been converted to flats.
 

 
Listed building details:
C19, first half. Stock brick with stucco frieze and cornice to parapet. Ground floor has tiles and stucco. 2 storeys, 3 windows - sashes with glazing bars. Corner entrance, pilasters and stops to ground floor frieze and cornice.
