The Fir Trees was situated at 142 Herman Hill.
In the 1980s and 1990s the Fir Trees had several changes of names and style
- Firs, Boar and Thistle, Wall St, Hermans, Joe Public and Hoofers. It is now
a fish restaurant called Ark. |

This pub was established by 1862. It
sold the beers of Mann, Crossman & Paulin’s Brewery, and later those of the
Watney’s Brewery, and closed in 2002. |
