The Barge was situated at 271 Victoria Dock Road and was previously known as The Freemason's Tavern and the Kilkenny Castle. It closed in 2002 and currently appears to be a hostel for residents on housing benefit.

This pub was established as the Freemasons Tavern by 1862.  It was a Courage Brewery pub and was renamed the Kilkenny Castle in around 1985, at which time it became a free house.
