The Albion was situated at 102-104 Albert Road. This pub was present by 1872 and was known locally as the Cowshed.

The pub was damaged in a 1944 air raid. The area around it was flattened but the pub remained defiantly upright. It continued to trade as a public house then became little more than a basic cafe. It was finally demolished around 1957 as the area was rebuilt into housing known as Albert Walk.
