The Sir Charles Napier was situated at 697 Commercial Road. This pub was present by 1877 and was owned by Watney’s Brewery.  In around 1990, in common with many of the smaller Watney’s pubs in the area, this pub was acquired by Belhaven.  It closed in 1997 and was demolished in around 2003, being replaced by the end building in the above photo.
