The Kings Head was
situated at 80 Three Colt Street.
This pub was
present by 1839 and closed before 1983. It is now in private residential
use. |
|
In the 1930s/early 1940s this was
used as a banana warehouse trading as Lambert & Ellis. As a child when I
lived on Limehouse Causeway we used to scavenge the fallen straw looking for
the odd, dropped, banana to store in a drawer to ripen up and eat later. It
later stopped trading as a banana wholesalers and reopened as a pub. |

This converted pub is
now a thriving artists space with owners penthouse on the 2nd floor with
roof terrace, artists studio on first floor and a number of studios on the
ground floor. |
