Kingsbridge Arms

Date of photo: 2000

The Kingsbridge Arms was situated at 154-156 West Ferry Road. This was a riverside pub, built in 1800 or just before.  In the nineteenth century it was sometimes alternatively referred to as the Kings Head or the Kings Arms.  It was a Whitbread’s pub in an area where they had very few.  It closed in 2003 and was demolished in 2004. A new building now stands on the site (see photo below).
