situated at 145 Three Colt Street. This former Watney’s pub was established
by 1880 and closed in
2001. It is now used as a restaurant. |

1963 |
My mother and father Lenny and Eileen Mitchell were the
publicans of this delightful pub until 1963 when it closed as a pub and
then opened as a restaurant , my dad built the beer garden adjoining the
property which was derelict land, he kept chickens there for a time ! In
its hey day the pub was a good music venue with some good bands playing
in there. |
