The Burnell Arms was situated at 214 High Street North and closed in the early 2000s. I have heard rumours that
flats or an Asian religious building is to be built on the site but nothing
has happened yet (February 2009). However some fencing was being put up
around the site so perhaps something will be happening soon.

Demolished in late 2009, it appears that a temple of some sort is being
built on the site. |
