The Lion & Key was situated at
475 High Road.
This was probably the first
established pub in Leyton, possibly dating from as
early as 1300. It
was acquired by Charrington’s in 1908 and substantially rebuilt in 1936. Closure
came in 2009. |

Now reopened as a hotel
with ground floor cafe/bar. |
