The Man In The Moon was situated on the King's
Road and hosted pub theatres. Closed in 2003 and replaced by a pizza
restaurant. |

I am writing about my early life in Chelsea
around 1957 when I would have been six years old. I remembered my nan would
sometimes be in the pub, (The Man in the Moon,) when my mum and I visited.
Mum would go in to see nan, and I would have to stand outside by the side
door eating a couple of the big dry biscuits that were on the bar counter,
as kids weren't allowed inside in those days. I couldn't remember the pub's
name at first, the only one I could remember was The World's End, not too
far away from this one.
Sorry I haven't a more interesting story, if I'd have been older, no doubt I
would have had a few tales to tell.
