The Fortesque Arms was situated at 34 Market Place. My great, great grandfather John Rhoades was Publican there & his wife Mary Ann Rhoades (nee Burnett) was innkeeper on the 1841 & 1851 UK census. A grade II listed building which dates from the 15th century.
