The Golden Cross was situated at the corner of
Station Road and Boston Road. This pub was present by 1826 when the publican
was Isaac Thornton. It closed following a fire and is now
used as a private house. |
|
The publican in 1881 was 38 year old Rachel
Rawlinson who lived there with her seven children. Planning permission has
now been given for conversion to five flats, with a further residential
development of the grounds to the rear. |
